a typical atypical salad

This salad is an example of the typical, atypical salad had at the Perkin's Farm. People often ask what to use our produce on or with, so contained on the plate are: Our Salad Mix, which has seven different kinds of Heirloom Lettuce, along with Bok choy, Mizuna, and Sweet Spinach. The Micro Greens are: Sweet Pea Greens, Sunflower Shoots, Daikon Radish, Broccoli, Red Cabbage, Pink Kale, Beet Greens, and Amaranth. Sliced veggies are: Salad Turnips, Heirloom Tomatoe, and Green Onions. Topping it all are two Edible Nasturtium Blossoms!

So be creative. So many complex flavors to enjoy!

Thanks for a good first weekend at the Farmer's Market, and we'll see you next week!

Fresh Produce, even in the winter

We are looking forward to the coming season of outdoor fruits and vegetables, even though that is still a few months away. Until then, we are enjoying the Micro Greens grown in our greenhouse, giving us that fresh-produce flavor and nutrition even in the dead of winter. Right now, we have available an assortment of Micro Greens, like Broccoli, Sunflower, Peas, Cilantro, Bull's Blood Beet, Daikon Radish, Red Cabbage, Kale, and Arugula. We can sell each separately, or blend them into a mix of rainbow colors and flavors.

We have experience growing up to 30 different types of Micro Greens, including Sweet and Opal Basil, Red Veined Sorrel, Curly Cress, Spicy Giant Red Mustard, Purple Night Radish, Hong Vit Radish, Shiso, Garnet Amaranth, Fennel, Chervil, Broccoli Raab, and more. So if you have a particular favorite that you don't see on the list, let us know, and we'll get it planted.

We fill even the smallest orders, saving you money because you don't have any shipping costs, and because you can order only as much as you need, not a minimum sized order that spoils before you can use it all.

As we all know, the fresher produce is, the more flavor and nutrition it contains. That's why, when you order from us, your Micro Greens are never more than a day old. We harvest every Monday and Thursday night, and make deliveries the following mornings; Every Tuesday and Friday.
